Dumpster pricing gets a bad reputation because a lot of companies quote a low number up front and then tack on fees once the container is sitting in your driveway — fuel surcharges, environmental fees, overage charges you never saw coming. What Actually Drives the Cost

Four things determine what a roll-off rental costs anywhere in Shreveport, Bossier City, or the surrounding parishes:

• Size. A 10-yard container costs less to deliver, haul, and dispose of than a 40-yard. That’s the biggest single factor.
• Debris type and weight. Light, bulky debris like furniture or cabinetry is cheap to landfill by weight. Dense debris — concrete, roofing shingles, dirt — hits tonnage limits fast and costs more to move and dispose of per cubic foot the container occupies.
• Rental duration. Our standard period is 3-7 days. A job that needs the container on site for two or three weeks costs more than a quick weekend cleanout.
• Location and access. Most of our service area — Shreveport, Bossier City, Blanchard, Haughton, Benton, and the rest of Caddo, Bossier, and Webster Parishes — is straightforward for us to reach. Distance and site access still factor into any quote.

Why Only the 10 Yard Has a Published Price

You’ll notice our sizes page lists a clear range for the 10-yard container — $350 to $550 — and nothing but “call for a quote” on the 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard. That’s not us being cagey. A 10-yard job is almost always a small, predictable cleanout: a garage, a single room, a modest roofing tear-off. The scope barely varies from customer to customer, so we can publish an honest number that holds up.

Once you move up to a 20, 30, or 40 yard, the jobs behind those sizes vary enormously. A 30-yard for a whole-house cleanout with mostly light furniture is a completely different cost than a 30-yard for a construction site full of dense mixed debris. Publishing one number for both would mean it’s wrong for one of them — either we’re quoting too high for the easy job, or too low for the heavy one, and either way somebody gets a number that doesn’t match reality. What’s Included in the Flat Rate

Whatever size you book, the quoted price covers all of the following, with nothing added later:

• Delivery of the container to your site
• The rental period (standard 3-7 days)
• A set tonnage allowance based on the container size
• Pickup and haul-away when you’re done

No fuel surcharge, no environmental fee tacked on at pickup. What we quote is what you pay, assuming the job stays within the scope we quoted for.

What Can Push the Price Higher

There are a few things that will add cost beyond the original quote, and we’d rather you know them going in than find out at pickup:

• Overweight loads. Every container has a tonnage allowance built into the price. Load past it — usually with dense material like concrete, dirt, or roofing debris — and overage charges apply based on actual weight.
• Extended rental. Keeping the container past the agreed rental period runs an additional daily or weekly charge. If you know your job will run long, tell us up front and we’ll build it into the quote instead.

Tips to Keep Your Cost Down

A little planning goes a long way toward keeping a rental at the quoted price:

• Size it right the first time — a container that’s too small means paying for a second haul, which usually costs more than sizing up would have.
• Separate dense material (concrete, dirt, brick, roofing) from bulky-but-light debris if you can, especially for heavy demolition jobs — see our construction debris guide for more on this.
• Break down large items like furniture where you can to use space more efficiently.
• Keep prohibited items out entirely — batteries, paint cans, and old propane tanks are common accidental additions that cause delays and fees.
• Plan your rental window realistically so you’re not paying for an extension you could have scheduled for up front.
